Easy Installation of a Roof Drainage System

Scope

In June 2024, the installation of a new roof drainage system from BLÜCHER began at Kalmar Motor AB's facilities.
Kalmar Motor AB is a company specializing in vehicles that move aircraft.

Their product portfolio includes both conventional towbar tractors and towbarless tractors. Kalmar Motor’s tractors have the capacity to handle everything from regional aircraft to wide-body aircraft.

The tractors manufactured in Kalmar are used at airports around the world, and in Scandinavia, the company holds a very strong market position.

What the Client Needed

After Kalmar Motor’s previous roof drainage system began leaking, they decided it was time for a replacement. They chose BLÜCHER’s stainless steel vacuum system for roof dewatering—a cost-effective and reliable solution capable of draining large volumes of water with fewer outlets.

Solution

In June 2024, installation of the new roof drainage system—covering almost 4,000 square meters—began. The work continued through the summer and was completed at the end of August.

Result (ROI)

Both the delivery and installation went entirely according to plan. According to installer Niklas from VS Installation in Kalmar, the installation exceeded expectations:

“It was actually easier than I thought, and I could install almost everything myself. The pipes are simple to work with because they are rigid and don’t bend during mounting, which makes installation easier when working alone.”

Andreas Fontler, roof drainage calculator at BLÜCHER, also considers the installation a success:

“They haven’t called once for help or support, which I see as very positive,” says Andreas.

Niklas from VS Installation agrees:

“Everything went smoothly and according to plan, so it feels good,” Niklas concludes.
